Automated Quantity Take-Off (QTO) & Data Management

Automated Skirting Board & Net Perimeter Calculation

We have developed specialized Dynamo scripts to calculate the net perimeter of rooms for precise skirting board estimation. Our tool intelligently analyzes the room boundaries and automatically subtracts the widths of door openings, room separators, and any other non-computable elements from the total length.
This ensures an exact measurement of the required material, eliminating the common overestimation found in standard BIM schedules. By integrating this logic, we provide contractors and quantity surveyors with high-fidelity data for procurement, significantly reducing material waste and ensuring that the Bill of Quantities (BoQ) reflects the true constructive reality of the project.

Automated Facade Opening & Glazing Ratio Calculation

We automate the calculation of net facade areas and opening percentages based on specific measurement criteria. Our scripts accurately subtract window and door openings from the total facade area, while also factoring in custom rules—such as deducting only openings above a certain size or applying specific percentage thresholds as per local building codes or contractual standards. This tool provides precise data for thermal analysis, natural lighting requirements, and material procurement. By customizing the calculation logic, we ensure that the glazing-to-wall ratio and total cladding areas are 100% compliant with project-specific measurement standards, eliminating manual calculation errors in complex building envelopes.
